We were thrilled to induct 23 successful Career and Technical Education students into the National Technical Honor Society this evening.

The high school seniors, who all attend our CTE programs at Adirondack Educational Center in Saranac Lake, are from the Lake Placid, Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake school districts.

“It is an absolute honor and achievement for you all to be inducted here tonight,” AEC Principal Stephanie Murphy told students during the ceremony. “Having the National Technical Honor Society listed on your resume is a distinctive sign of your academic success and will only be a benefit to you in your future.”

The National Technical Honor Society recognized the achievements of top CTE students across the country, provides scholarships to encourage students to pursue more education, and promotes excellence in today’s highly competitive and skilled workforce.

To be inducted, students had to have high academic achievements, quality attendance, and be recommended by their teacher, advisor and principal.

During the ceremony, students pledged to maintain the highest standard of personal conduct and to strive for excellence and invest their talents, skills and knowledge into their career.
