AEC is home base for 7 vocational training programs, an alternative education program, an adult education program, and several administrative offices. Our Saranac Lake school serves the school districts of Lake Placid, Long Lake, Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake.

The present AEC building opened in 1975. With a close working relationship with the component school districts, students work towards their completion of high school and then proceed to post-secondary education, the workforce or the military.
